Pray it forward

Pray it forward

Have you ever had someone “pay it forward” for you? — Food, coffee, etc?
It’s an amazing feeling knowing a stranger, out of the goodness of their heart, decided to make your day; even better…it also inspires you to pay it forward to someone else.

What if we lived life in this way. More than gifting just a coffee, but in regards to someone’s faith or salvation?

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 4:10-11

Jesus gave us the ultimate gift, He died for our freedom because of the goodness in His heart to love.

Each of us have also been gifted something very special. Maybe it’s your testimony in how you came to know God. Maybe it’s how God radically transformed your life in the trenches. Maybe it’s your heart to love and serve well.

The greatest thing we can do with the gifts and blessings that we reap is to be on a “pay it forward mission”. Live out the gospel in such a way that inspires others to faithfully go out and plant their own seeds for The Kingdom to one day reap…and repeat.

We’re too busy to seek His presence
We’re too busy to seek His presence

February 08, 2023

Oh Lord - we confess that we have it all backwards. You tell us to “seek You first” and too often, we seek you last. Help us right now in this very moment to “pause”. In this moment of stillness, help us to breathe in a fresh wind. Refresh our weary souls. Lead us by peaceful waters and renew our strength and perspective today. When we try to be more and do more today, remind us that we are already enough. Allow us to rest in that. Lord, today we surrender our busy lives and abandon the socie...

Making a difference requires us to do things differently
Making a difference requires us to do things differently

February 01, 2023

If we want to make a difference in the lives of those around us, it likely requires us to do things a little different. But we can be confident that a life of abiding in Him, and for Him, is worthy of it all. If you feel like you’re going against the grain, living counter-cultural, or doing things differently out of obedience today, stay faithful. Stay the course. Don’t overthink. Sow the seeds, be a light, and trust God with the harvest.
