A Woman To Admire & Inspire: RAHAB

A Woman To Admire & Inspire: RAHAB
Joshua 2:11 “When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.”

Rahab’s story is unexpected and unlikely to say the least. She is identified as a prostitute, and not a follower of Jesus. There are two spies that she encounters that have come to scope out the city of Jericho where she resides. These men are doing the Lord’s work and she decides to hide them in protection from their persecutors. She acknowledges that she fears the Lord despite NOT knowing Him personally. What an unforeseen act of obedience. She demonstrates faithfulness and her risky sacrifice saves the lives of these men!

Personally, this story reminds me that no one is outside of God’s reach. He cares so deeply for each of us. This means YOU too sister!  He is kind, He is patient, and He pursues us. Sometimes through opportunities when we aren’t prepared for them. Rahab might not be someone who comes to mind as a usual candidate to be used in ministry, but God weaves her into this story so purposefully. She looks up and leans in. She doesn’t miss what He has for her. I get so fired up about this *in the best way.

We will never be able to ‘do’ enough, but we are enough just as daughters of our King. Let’s be ready and willing to engage in His direction!

Jesus, you see us. Thank you for pursuing us and wanting better for us than we could dream up for ourselves. We are so comforted knowing that you are in control. Help us grow in attention and awareness so that we don’t miss what you have in store. We love you so much. Amen.

LAST DAY: September Seaside, FL Retreat tickets

We are welcoming THIRTY-ONE women to our Sept. and Nov. Seaside weekends and are ready to greet a few more of you!!! Is it YOU?

LAST DAY - Get your ticket here!
We created these weekends because of a vision God gave our founder that He has peace and connection for women through them. We desire to give Christian women space to eliminate distractions in their lives and experience the peace and presence of God. These weekends gather the most incredible women who are kind, inclusive and desiring rich connection with others, God and themselves. Join us for a weekend in our favorite beach town, Seaside, FL, for private chef meals, a luxury beach home, a walkable beach town with all the food, shopping and beach club access a girl could dream of. Our time together is invaluable as we steward the perfect balance between organized group time and space to move at your own pace, doing whatever your heart desires! You will not need to worry about a thing all weekend from arrival to departure. We host worship, devotionals and small groups at the home and encourage time to rest in your own cozy corner of the house or on one of our porches! We believe God moves in lasting ways among our retreat guests through the deepening of their awareness of His presence, trust in His plan and newfound Christian friendships that will go far beyond our few days together. Thank you, Jesus, for the space we get to steward so that all of us can find more of You.

God is here, now.

I recently read that women enjoy social media because of the personal element of videos and crave more of that personal connection through emails... so I thought I would share something from social media this week in our email. I pray God blesses you through all He is up to! - Britt
