You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
Psalms 139:1-2
"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar"

Known was the theme of this year's retreat. Being known means to feel understood. Being known is to be recognized. Being known means to be familiar. When you are known there is a level of safety and freedom to just simply and fully be. The environment of the weekend retreat invited this very freedom and safety. Whether it was engaging in intentional conversation with others or practicing solitude by watching the sunset, each woman came in not knowing one another and left feeling more connected, encouraged, and known than they did before.
