Making space.
It can be hard and trivial to make space in our daily lives. Space for rest, space for others, space for silence, space for ourselves, and space for the Spirit to lead. When we choose to make space we open ourselves up to the hope and encouragement that the Lord has for us through him and his body. Each guest who came on the retreat came with a level of expectancy, whether it was their first time or their fourth. Each guest came with a story, whether they had come with hope or a lack thereof. Each guest made space for the way the Lord wanted to speak specifically to them just by showing up. None of it looked the same. Some were ministered to during our time at the chapel, while we sang out loud, and others were ministered to by watching the sunset over the crashing waves. All of it reflected the gift that is when we make space for ourselves and the Lord.
