Returning to Shalom: An Invitation to Rest and Restore

Returning to Shalom: An Invitation to Rest and Restore

I’ve been thinking a lot about June lately.

Slower moments. Quiet spaces. The kind of days where God’s presence feels easier to notice when we finally stop rushing long enough to listen.

There is something about this season that feels like an invitation to return to rest again.

That same invitation is actually what led me to begin hosting retreat weekends in Seaside, Florida.

My dream started with my own encounter of shalom.

The first time I experienced what this little beach town did to my soul, I knew more women needed to experience it too—not just the beauty of the town itself, but the presence of God that felt different here.

Quiet. Gentle. Restorative.

For the first time in a long time, I felt my shoulders relax. My mind slow down. My spirit breathe again. I felt cared for by God in a way that brought me back to myself.

And I remember thinking, every weary woman deserves to experience this kind of peace.

Because so many women are carrying invisible emotional and spiritual weight while continuing to pour into everyone around them. They are exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, and longing for a place where they can simply exhale.

That became the heartbeat behind these retreats.

Not just creating a beautiful getaway, but creating a sacred, intentional space where women can encounter God deeply, rest without guilt, build meaningful friendships, and be poured into instead of constantly pouring out.

A place where strangers become sisters. Where women feel seen, safe, and spiritually refreshed. Where deep conversations replace surface-level connection. Where women leave lighter than they arrived.

Every detail of these weekends is prayerfully considered, because my greatest hope is not simply that women enjoy the experience—it’s that they encounter the peace, presence, and restoration of God in a way that stays with them long after they leave.

Shalom.

Wholeness. Nothing missing. Nothing broken.

That is what I pray every woman experiences here.

If June is an invitation to slow down and notice God’s goodness again, then I can’t think of a more beautiful place to practice that than here with us in Seaside.

I would love to invite you to join us at Behold this November or Consecrate this February.

Consider this a personal invitation from me to you, sister. There are things in life that your future self prays you will say yes to. This is one of them.
