I'd like to change our weekly devotion format a little for the next five weeks.
Instead of me sitting down to write a few paragraphs, I'd like to invite us to open our Bibles together. Let’s sit at the feet of Jesus together.
Each Wednesday, I'll simply provide a starting place—a key verse, supporting passages, a few observations, and some questions to help guide your time with the Lord. But my hope is that these won't become weeks where you simply read someone else's thoughts about Scripture. I hope they'll become weeks where you encounter God personally through His Word.
If you have a journaling Bible, I encourage you to use it. Date the pages. Underline what stands out to you. Circle repeated words. Write your prayers and observations in the margins. Ask questions. Sit with the passages a little longer than you normally would.
Over the next five weeks, we'll slowly walk through John 8–12 together, noticing who Jesus reveals Himself to be and asking ourselves one simple question each week:
Do I believe Him?
My prayer isn't simply that we finish another Bible study. It's that we become women who know how to open our Bibles with expectation, believing God still speaks through His living Word and inviting Him to meet us there.
