How we saw God in 2025

How we saw God in 2025

The end of the year is particularly special for me because my birthday is December 30th. December 31st always feels like an opportunity to reflect on not just the last year, but the last year of my life also.

Yesterday I turned 35. It’s funny how we make plans for our lives when we are younger but the way God unfolds our stories is so much better. I thought I’d get married earlier than I did, have kids sooner, I sure thought my career was going to look much different (I thought I’d still be in sports marketing) than it does - but where I am now, I didn’t even know to dream for my current reality back then.

I couldn’t even imagine asking God for the man He gave me to marry, the two baby boys I get to love, this ministry, the friendships I’ve found, our first home my husband and I got to build together, the list goes on.

When I reflect back on just these last 3 years of my life, and ALL God has done, it encourages me to never stop dreaming that God always has something better than the best we know to ask for.

A few highlights from this year:

  • We welcomed our second miracle son, Dutton Hart Goff in August and my husband, Michael, and I celebrated 7 years married.

  • We hosted our largest women’s retreat in Seaside, FL with 50 women and got to baptize 3 in the ocean.

  • God has blessed me with the most incredible retreat hosting team - sisters that see the vision God has given us and carry it out with as much heart as I could ever dream of asking them to.

  • I said “yes” to write more at the start of the year and am currently working on my first book proposal with a publishing company - everything I have authored to date has been self published

  • Watching our retreat community of women grow and support one another from all around the country warms my heart more than anything I could have ever imagined transpiring from this ministry. Watching the social media comments cheering for each other through ordinary life moments and some of the biggest life celebrations never gets old. I find myself scrolling social media at the end of the day and most every time I do, seeing retreat guests love one another. That is remarkable. To have 204 women we have hosted over the last 5 years that ROOT for each other…and stay in touch. That friendship is precious!

I’m deeply grateful for you and this work God has allowed me to do for His glory. I pray every word I write, every product in our shop, podcast episode and retreat weekend would all point us back to the One who fiercely loves us. Thank you, Lord, for creating W&HC and blessing it. To God be all glory and happy New Year!
