Many people know about God, but the Christian faith is not fully lived until we experience God.
God sent us a helper in His Holy Spirit. Something so impactful happens when we understand how to seek God’s guiding hand. He gave us His Holy Spirit so we could experience Him personally.
We are never alone because we know and love a God that didn’t just leave us with His written word in the Bible to guide us, but He also gave us access to Him. We get to commune with God, inviting Him into our hearts, which He already knows everything about because He Himself created us, but it delights Him to commune with us. He wants us to tell Him our desires, our hopes, and our heartaches, even though He is all-knowing. He’s such a kind God that He gave us free will, the choice to commune with Him. When we make that choice, it’s so powerful and it changes how we are able to live. Instead of knowing about God and living from ourselves, we get to know God and live with His strength in us.
If you’ve never had a “stop in my tracks woah, God” moment, I’m praying today that you would. In Jeremiah 29:13 God says, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” When we seek with all of our hearts, He promises we will find Him. And let me encourage you: the experience of finding God’s presence is not flat. It’s abundant. It’s personal. It makes us think, “Woah, God.” I pray our community would experience God, not just know about Him. I pray we would know His voice, feel His promptings, and that we would be people who act quickly, not waiting but responding in obedience when we hear Him guiding us.
Life is better when it’s lived with Christ in us, when we experience God in our daily routine. God promised His presence, and His presence is so personal.
