God’s work of creation and salvation are complete, and His work within our individual lives is ongoing. We, with so much support we cannot even fathom, get to walk a journey of looking more like Jesus from a place of victory. While our lives evolve between circumstances and new experiences, relationships, and hopes, God’s love for you and for me is sealed.
Philippians 1:6 (NIV) states, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
How much of our daily troubles are tied up in the belief that we are not secure? Scripture tells us God’s love for us is everlasting, so I wanted to take a moment today to bust us out of that thought process, that lie, that we have anything to fear. When troubles arise, which Scripture says they will (John 16:33), we must face them with humility and courage. Our troubles are not lasting but God’s love for us is. Our faith in God is. God’s love for you, and for me, is sealed and it’s not changing. We can have great assurance that we are secure in God because of what Christ has done for us. We possess the greatest longing of our hearts—unchanging security through the Kingdom of heaven.
