Behold is an invitation to slow down, turn our attention toward Jesus, and fix our eyes on who He is.

In the middle of ever-changing circumstances, it can be easy to become consumed by what is happening around us. Behold is a chance to quiet the noise, become aware of God’s presence, and choose to see Him and trust Him right where we are.

Our hope is that this retreat creates space for renewed intimacy with Jesus—that as we intentionally sit with Him, we might rediscover something about our Father that was available to us all along.

Behold isn’t about figuring everything out. It’s about turning our attention toward the One who is already with us.

We invite you to prepare for our time together by spending time in prayer, asking God to speak to you personally. He is kind to meet us in our ordinary (likely busy) moments at home before we ever arrive at this weekend. He uses those moments at home to make the moments set aside for Him at Behold Retreat that much more powerful. I encourage you to journal about where you are, what your hopes are and how you're seeing God in your life at home prior to arriving in WaterColor with us. We will have a few guest home properties. Each home will be your small group for the weekend of 8-10 women. Below are home addresses and women staying at each property.

Group Therapy |

• Thursday: Our arrival evening is very casual. Whatever you like to travel in will be perfect for a cozy dinner at the house and our living room gathering with your small group!

• Friday: A casual dress or pants / blouse is perfect for our session at The Chapel at Seaside. You will want comfortable attire for the rest of the day as you explore this charming beach town and we hang out at the guest homes. I recommend comfortable shoes for the entire trip! You want to enjoy this walkable town so I've found dressing for comfort is optimal! You may want a combination of athleisure, pool / beach and casual cute options for this day. You may find yourself at the pool, walking the beach, walking into town for coffee or the bookstore or enjoying a fun afternoon at the food trucks!

• Saturday: For sunrise worship, you'll likely just want to be warm! A sweatshirt, athletic pants and socks fit the order! If you want to be baptized, we recommend black. This day will also be filled with COMFORT! You'll enjoy athelisure or whatever feels most relaxing to you as you adventure to the beach and around town. I recommend athletic shoes, flip flops, and clothing that is comfortable! For our beach photos and chef dinner, most women like to wear flowy dresses or pants and a blouse. Whatever you feel beautiful in! The beach photos are a fun moment for you to feel beautiful. The Chapel and beach photos are the only time we really think about our attire all weekend. The rest is COMFORT forward - ha.

• Sunday: Wear whatever you want to travel home in to our goodbye gathering!

Other items to consider

• The WaterColor Beach Club provides a towel service so no need to pack a beach towel!
• Swimsuit, sunscreen and anything you'll want for the beach / pool. A good read, sunglasses or airpods!
• Any toiletries you'll want for the weekend.

This list could be extensive if I didn't real it in. Here are a few of my favorite things to do around town!! You will find yourself with countless options within walking distance as our weekend unfolds. These options are just to get you excited for the destination we get to enjoy together for a few days!

Coffee / lite breakfast:

• Amavida in Seaside (a short walk)
• Beach Happy Cafe (just a few blocks from our home and on the way to the beach club! My favorite stop to take a coffee on a morning beach walk)

Breakfast: Black Bear Bread Co., The Great Southern (reservation recommended), or Scratch Biscuit Kitchen. Scratch is just a few blocks from our retreat homes. The other two options are in Seaside, just about a 15 minute walk from our homes. Black Bear Bread Co. is my favorite casual breakfast spot when I'm up for a walk!

Lunch or Dinner: Seagrove Village Market, FOOW (Fish Out Of Water), Taco Bar, Shrimp Shack, food trucks, Bud & Alleys, Cocina Cubana, Pickle’s Burger & Shake, The Great Southern (reservation recommended), Surfing Deer. My personal favorite is Fish Out Of Water (it's a few blocks from our home) or the food trucks in Seaside!

WaterColor Beach & Pool Club: Because our homes are located in WaterColor, we get access to the beach club. Inside scoop - this is a non-negotiable for me when traveling to this area and the reason I return over and over again. The beach club provides a towel service at entry, has multiple pools (including an adults only pool), has a restaurant, a drink service on the way down to the beach and beach access. With your wristband (that you will receive at check in) you have access to the beach club for the entire weekend. It's just a few blocks from our guest homes and my favorite "free time" activity of the weekend.

Shopping: Shops are location in WaterColor and Seaside, all steps from our guest homes!

• Explore the shops of 30-A Modica Market (The Holiday movie vibes), Boutiques (The Art of Simple is my personal fave!), Heavenly's Ice Cream, Sundog Books, Seaside and WaterColor t-shirt shops, and a pop up outdoor shopping experience in Seaside.

WaterColor and Seaside are also full of walkable areas for deep breaths and solitude

• Walk to the chapel / art circle
• Parks
• Cobblestone streets
• Charming neighborhoods

Other options:

• Chill at the house & enjoy the patios, solitude and good company
• Grab food at the local food trucks
• The Spa in Seaside (reservation needed)
• Tennis Courts (reservation needed)

As the weekend gets closer, I will be adding details here about wifi passwords, door codes, check in addresses and your weekend contact information (to reach someone on our host team for any needs!).

BEACH CLUB / POOL WRISTBANDS

• You will receive a wristband for the weekend that will be needed to enter the Watercolor Beach Club. There is a $125 fee if your personal wristband is misplaced.

BEACH / POOL TOWELS

• Please leave all bath towels at the home. The Watercolor Beach Club has a towel service for any beach / pool goers! You will need a wristband to enter the beach club.

BIKES

• The bikes at our properties are not for our use. Please do not touch these. There is a $750 fine per bike moved.

ELEVATOR

• Please make sure to close all doors as you enter and exit the elevator. There is a 400lb weight limit. Please only use the elevator if you need it. We want to keep everyone safe!
