Walking Through The Valley

Walking Through The Valley

There’s something powerful about the view from a mountaintop. It’s something we hope for, and desire to see…especially in seasons of walking into a valley.

We all have valleys; some, may have just been overcome…others, may have just begun.

A valley is a place, a journey, that at times fills us with complete uncertainty. But it’s also a space, and if you’re willing - an open invitation, for The Holy Spirit to heal you, to redeem you, and to set you free.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no even, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

Psalm 23:4 says we are never bound to nor abandoned in our valleys because we WALK. We keep moving forward. We press on and press through. We will not succumb to fear because our God is HERE!

You are not a rejection. You are not defined by your mistakes. You are more than your relationship status. Your God is greater than your diagnosis. You are worthy and have a mighty purpose, child of God.

Sometimes we have zero control over the valleys that get thrown our way. But we always have a choice. A choice to believe that if God’s promises are true - then there’s a mountaintop awaiting you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
You are the God who reigns, the God makes a way when there is no way, and a God who is faithful to His promises. You wouldn’t allow a valley without a plan to heal and redeem. I ask in the name of Jesus you would cancel every lie that floods into the hearts and minds of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Set them free. Show up supernaturally. Speak life into their valley and whisper hope. In Jesus name, Amen.

Today, when we find ourselves overcomplicating, overthinking, overdoing, and striving, ground us in your truth, God. Help us to not miss the dozens of opportunities you’ve given us today to practice love with the people around us. Help us to make space in our lives to experience your love first today and as your lo...

Some of my favorite things I didn't know I needed the first few weeks postpartum. I pray this helps one expecting mama out there (or a friend or family member looking for the latest things to help during newborn life!) to have something she didn't know she needed in the crazy of those first few weeks with your newborn!

Today's Climb
Today's Climb

March 15, 2023

Lord, we all find ourselves facing obstacles and challenges today. We’re all trying to figure things out and find ourselves failing and falling often. Help us to see the rocks before us today as opportunities. May we confront them today with confidence as we experience your grace and goodness in them. Help us to extend grace to those around us, too, knowing that everyone is facing their own “climb” today. Thank you for reminding us that we’re surrounded by fellow rock climbers and are not al...
