Revolutionary Love - Revival

Revolutionary Love - Revival

“The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone”
Psalm 118:22

Past rejection or pain can hold no claim on us and no shame over us when God uses it for His gain because He gives redemption a name.

We’re the stones He seeks out and rescues because He has a purpose for me and you. He rescues us from our deepest pains with the intent to build His Kingdom out of His love. His love for us stays the same -- no matter what we’ve done or how far we’ve run.

Redemption is not a gift to be earned; it’s freely given if you let Him. Your redemption story will always outweigh any lie of rejection. One day you may be the truth that Jesus will use for someone else walking through the same exact pain, and may ignite a hope that their pain too can be overcome someday.

Our stories will be used as building blocks to point people to Jesus. We get to be living-breathing testimonies. Testimonies that proclaim our rubble became redemption because we invited Jesus to restore our broken pieces; broken pieces that became molded into beautiful stone all because His love washes us white as snow.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (ESV)

Mephibosheth, whose name means “shame”, was the son of Jonathon and the grandson of King Saul. The remainder of Saul’s family could only assume that with the new King David coming into power, they would all be killed off next, so they fled in fear to become exiles and ene...

Compassion Triumphs Pity
Compassion Triumphs Pity

We can find biblical hope for this struggle when we consider the story of the Israelites’ exile in the Old Testament. The afflictions of the Israelites’ exile were two-fold. On one hand, they were exiled because of their own sin, and on the other hand, their burdens were increased because of the sin of the nations oppressing them. I am certain that if I were an exiled Israelite, I would have been grumbling and throwing pity parties the majority of the time. How does God respond to them? Throu...
