From Empty to Overflow: What’s in Your Cup?

From Empty to Overflow: What’s in Your Cup?

The cup we bring to the table to offer others tends to be something The Lord has spiritually gifted you. Our cups come in all different shapes and sizes. Each is unique. But what we have in common is we all have something beautiful to pour into the lives of those around us.

“All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” 1 Corin, 12:11

You’re the loyal friend who will answer any phone call in the middle of the night with a shoulder to lean on. You're a wonder-woman in your career with many skills, expertise, and diligent ethic to pour into your company and coworkers. Maybe you’re also a mom, a wife, a child, pouring everything you have to selflessly love and serve the family you cherish.

What’s in your cup?

Maybe right now you don’t really know what gifts God has filled your cup up with yet. Use this as an opportunity to invite Him in so He can reveal the beautiful goodness you’ve already been given within.

Maybe you’ve been holding back out of fear that what you have to pour out could be perceived as not enough…but scripture tells us otherwise.

“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Matt 10:42

Whether you pour a tiny drop from your cup or drench everything you can, if it’s rooted from the spirit of God’s call, none of it will ever go to waste.

Will you bring your cup?

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, I thank you that you have blessed every single one of us with beautiful gifts. Each gift was handcrafted by you and of no mistake. I pray that for my sister questioning her gift you would magnify her light so she can see she shines bright. For my sister who needs validation in how much she gives remind her that she is worthy and appreciated. Thank you for your loving kindness. Let us share our cups to glorify you in all we do. Amen.

Jesus, we know that you have created us with such intentionality. You give us different gifts for unique purposes for your Kingdom. It’s so incredibly sweet to know that you call us by name and desire for us to walk in confidence according to your will for our lives. Help us to recognize these gifts in one another and call them out! We love you. Amen.

These retreats were created with a vision to hold space for women to connect with God and as a result themselves. What has been the most moving surprise is how guests connect with one another.Thank you, Jesus, for the women you guide to these weekends and the meaningful friendships that result from it.
