From Empty to Overflow: Overflowing
There is great power behind The Lord pouring into our lives abundantly more than we could hope or imagine. It’s in the overflow. According to Merriam Webster, overflow can be defined as, “to fill a space to capacity and spread beyond its limits”.
All of us are limited to the extent of action or changes we can make alone. But we have a limitless God who has the power to move and flood the open spaces for His glory to reign. We have opportunity to overflow into the lives of others when we’re filled by the spirit.
Your seasons in the driest desert were set to serve purpose in your season of overflow.
You’ve sought. You’ve learned. You’ve been spiritually refilled.
Now, what do we do with our gift of overflow?
When we’re fully convicted by the depth of His grace, mercy, and unrelenting love, our hearts become capsized bursting with passion to love and serve others with the same gifts given unto us.
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.” 1 Thes 3:12
How can we display an overflowing love?
Maybe you begin tithing; freely giving financially because you’ve recognized His dollars multiply further than your own. Maybe you push past your comfort zone by intentionally loving and including someone outcast or isolated because of the love you’ve experienced when you felt alone. Maybe you have a greater tenderness in your heart to give grace for others' mistakes and extend forgiveness because they helped your own healing take place.
Friend, if you’re in a season of overflow ask The Lord how He can use you and where He wants to use you. Just watch His love flow out through you as you pour into others’ cups.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, we thank you for the gift of overflow. We recognize that it can only come from you alone. I pray that you would guide my sisters and show them the way in which direction you want them to share in their cup that overflows. May you magnify their gifts and let it all be for your glory. Amen.
