How to use our Advent Four Week Daily Devotional

  • When does Advent begin? Sunday, November 29, - Thursday, December 24.
  • This Advent devotional has four weeks of content and is designed to be read Monday-Friday.
  • Each week you’ll journey with a different woman of the Bible who exemplified expectant hope and also uniquely participated in God’s plan of redemption.
  • Each day has three reflection questions and encourages you to meditate on the biblical text while also having a deeper conversation with God about his invitation to you in the passage. If you’d like to dig deeper into the study, there are endnotes at the conclusion of each day featuring additional Scripture references, explanations of the text, notes on the historical and cultural background, and Tiffany’s thoughts.

For most of us, 2020 has not been what we hoped or expected it would be. Between the pandemic, social-distancing, layoffs, racial injustice, political discord and so much more, this year has highlighted our deep need for Jesus. Similarly, Ruth, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Mary also experienced seasons of longing and waiting. They too cried, prayed, dreamed, despaired, persevered, and did it all again the next day. In each season of waiting, God uniquely met them and was with them. Join us on this four-week Advent journey into expectant hope and what it means to know Immanuel, God with us.
